Weekly Reflection #4

Book: The Hunger Games
Author: Suzanne Collins
Pages Read: 14-34

The book so far has been following the same suit as the movie. It has the same story line and is painting the visuals for me that I have seen in the movie. I am wondering if they are going to keep this theme throughout the whole book, or if the movie made some dramatic changes in the story line. A few things from the movie which I really enjoyed were the training, and also the way that the actual fight went down. How they had the guy from district 9 work alongside the district 1 people, but in the end he would fight with Katniss. I personally really enjoyed that and I'm hoping that they keep that in the book.

Last week we took a virtual fieldtrip. By this we visited other classmates blogs, and also went to a different class, an elementry schools blog and took a look at some of their blogs. I only left a comment on a few of the posts I saw, but I did observe many different comments. Some i saw were pretty well written, and others were... not so much. To me, what made up a good comment was how in depth they went, and how discriptive they were. I saqw some comments such as "good post :)" or "this is funny" and those are examples of poor comments. some good ones i saw were such as "I really liked your use of this, and you really incorpporated this well". The good one was thought oout, they said why they liked it and what was good about it, rather than just saying this is good. Benefits of commenting on other peoples blog are getting yourself out there. That way people would say oh that was a good comment, and want to comment on your blog, but if you make a poor comment then that will make people not want to comment on yours. You get what you give in and if you have more people giving you positive incouragment, and visiting your blog, then that will also make it better, and people could also say I really like this, but if you did this maybe it would enhance it, either way, posting positive posts and comments would enhance your blog.

Life in 5 Seconds

This is my 5 second drawing that I did. I chose to do the the hangover for it. To me this sums up a majority of the movie. It starts off with 4 guys and they have a crazy night, they lose one friend and gain 2 then go on an adventure and everything works out in the end. I actually enjoyed this project probably the most so far because we had free range over doing whatever we wanted to do, and I enjoy drawing even though I'm not the best at it.

Secret Lair

Where I would like to live is a farm house out in the middle of the country. My own, 20 acre lot with nobody around. It would be just me and my wife, but I would have my own part of the house. There would be a secret part of the basement, a second basement, that would be just mine. I would have things such as a workout room, an art room, and all different rooms just for me. I would have things such as a gaming system, like an Xbox or a ps3, and my own bar. I wouldn't tell anybody, not even my wife, well maybe I would have to, but it would be just for me. I would have underground tunnels leading from one ro to another, the rooms would be all different sizes, shapes, and layouts, I would have a main room that all the tunnels would lead to, which would direct me from room to room. Each room would have a different type of pass code, such as an eye scanner, or fingerprint, or other things in that category. But it's a space just for me, so you don't know that.

Daily Create #1

This post was of the things I had in my pocket. I chose to do all of the things I had on my keychain. Those things were my car keys, a keychain, my USB, my co-op card, and a lanyard. I explained how some of them are connected in the pictures beneath.

Digital Footprint

This is my digital footprint. On my digital footprint I have things such as the Westwood logo. This is because for my first 3 years of high school I was at Westwood Collegiate and it has been a big part of my life. I have the logo for the Sturgeon Heights basketball team because I play basketball. The logo I have is what is on the sweats we got this year for the team. In the top right corner I have an iPhone with 4 of the apps I mainly use. These apps are Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. These are my only 4 social media websites that I use and probably have the biggest impact on my digital footprint. I use mainly twitter and by all the hashtags around my paper it shows that I use it quite often. The last thing I have on here is my club basketball team Winnipeg Elites. I have included this because for this team they make profiles of you and made a mixtape. So when you search my name on the Internet that is why comes up so it would add to my digital footprint. I have other things online but those are the ones, that I feel, have the biggest impact for me.
